First Lawsuit In Spinash E-coli Death

Seattle Law Firm Files Lawsuit In Spinach E-coli Case

A lawsuit in the spinach E-coli case has been filed in Redwood City, California, by the Seattle law firm that handled Jack in the Box and Odwalla E-coli cases.

Marler Clark is representing the family of Alice McWalter, an 85-year-old nursing home resident who became sick and died after eating spinach at the home.

Lawyer William Marler says seniors are less able to fight off foodborne illness and the food supplier should have made sure the food was safe.

About 60 E-coli cases in ten states have been traced to tainted spinach.

Federal health officials are advising Americans to throw out all the bagged spinach.

The Seattle law firm has represented more than 1,000 E-coli victims since 1993.
